Many teens struggle with mental health and substance dependency issues. At Options Family & Behavior Services, we believe that everyone has the ability to make positive changes and guide their lives to mental and physical health. We created the adolescent evening outpatient program to help teach teens aged 12-18 chemical health recovery skills. We believe that substance abuse treatment in Minneapolis can be very effective in helping your teen identify strategies and goals to remain sober.

What Does The Adolescent Evening Outpatient Program Entail?

This program includes two different phases. Both phases include group and individual counseling, the first for at least 12 weeks, and the second for a minimum of 8 weeks. This substance abuse treatment in Minneapolis is a sobriety-based program in which the client must remain sober throughout the program and agree to random drug testing at any time.

The Adolescent Evening Outpatient Program was created for those that exhibit:

  • High-risk impulsive behaviors
  • Persistent substance abuse
  • Initiation of or persistent chemical use
  • Poor problem-solving skills
  • Poor social skills

This program aims to teach chemical health recovery skills, emotion regulation, and coping skills including:

  • Substance abuse education
  • Identifying triggers & dues for substance use
  • Relapse prevention
  • Problem-solving
  • Planning skills
  • Self-evaluation
  • Moral reasoning
  • Emotional awareness and understanding
  • Increasing pro-social recreational activities
