
Cecilia “Cici” Hughes received her bachelor’s in Sociology with an emphasis in Social Work and Criminal Justice from Winona State University. She then graduated from St Thomas/ St Katherine University with a Master’s of Social Work. She was licensed in Special Services Foster Care for 22 years, and has vast experience with services that include: Residential Treatment for children and adolescents, Mental Health Case Management for children and adults, Children’s Therapeutic Services and Support, Foster Care: Therapeutic and Multidimensional, Adolescent Day Treatment, Outpatient Clinics and School-based therapy. Cici is a practitioner and trainer in Trauma Informed Care. She participated and chaired the Hennepin County Children’s Mental Health Collaborative Governance Committee and was a member of AspireMN and served as a board member. Cici currently serves on the Governor Subcommittee on Children’s Mental Health. Cici uses a client-centered approach, meeting clients where they are and building strong therapeutic relationships. She utilizes a variety of therapy approaches and techniques from Cognitive Behavioral, solution focused, mindfulness-based interventions, motivational interviewing and play therapy techniques. She has been trained in DC 0-5 diagnosis and treatment.
